6 Days Camel Safari Tour from Dahab

One of the best activities to do is a multiple day excursion into the desert. Ride your own camel to experience the Bedouin lifestyle and sleep under the stars

Day 2 Melehis

After breakfast we will take our camel for a 1 hr ride to Melehis Canyon. We leave our camels here and hike down to reach the Melehis Oasis, where you can see the spring that feeds this oasis. We will have lunch in this oasis, and then go back to our camels to ride back to Wadi el Disco to have dinner and spend our second night here.

Day 1 Small Colored Canyon

We will pick you up at your hotel at 8 am and drive you to Wadi Gazallah (1 hr drive), where we will meet our camels. We will ride our camels for 1.5 hr to go to Salama Canyon, also know as the Small Colored Canyon. Enjoy the hike in the beautiful canyon and be surprised and awed about its flowing shapes and colors. The hike takes about 30 minutes. We will have lunch here and then ride our camel to Wadi el Disco. Here we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3 Closed Canyon & Ain Khudra Oasis

After breakfast we will mount our camel to ride to Nagb el Hamidad (30 minutes) A hike of 20 more minutes by foot will bring us to the Closed Canyon. We will wander and scramble around, exploring this narrow, closed canyon for a while. After lunch we will ride for one hr more to reach Ain Khudra Oasis. This oasis has been in use for many centuries, with a large underground spring and many date palms. According to some, this is the site of the biblical Hazeroth. We will have our dinner in this beautiful Ain Khudra Oasis and spend the night here.

Day 4 White Canyon & Naomis

After breakfast we will go for a 1 hour hike through the White Canyon. We will descent to the bottom of this magnificent canyon and follow it until the end. Our camels will be waiting for us. A camel ride of half an hour will take us to the Rock of Inscriptions, more than 2000 yrs old. Then, 1 more hour camel ride to one of the Bedouin houses in Naomis village for lunch. After lunch we will take our camels to the Noamis (a tomb of 5000 yrs old, which is considered one of the earliest free standing buildings in this area). Another half hour by camel will bring us back to one of the Bedouin families that live here where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Arada Canyon Trip

Day 5 Arada Canyon

After breakfast we will hop on our camels again for a 1 hour ride to Arada Valley. Here we will stop and have tea, then continue on our camel for 30 minutes to have a look at all the 2000 yrs old inscriptions that were scratched into the desert rock. Another half hour will bring us to the Double Canyon. We will leave our camels here and have lunch before we will hike down in this canyon. It's a bit of a scramble but it will be worth it! After an hour of hiking we will ride our camels back to Arada Valley for dinner and spend the night there

Day 6 Saffra Sand Dune

After breakfast we are going to ride our camels for 2 hours to Saffra Sand dune. Climbing up this sand dune will give you an astonishing view of the landscape. Back down we will have lunch before we start to take our camel back to Arada Valley.

Here we will meet the car to bring us back to Dahab.
