Cairo – Aswan – Abu Simbel – Luxor – Sharm el Sheikh – Dahab – Alexandria – Cairo

Day 1 – Cairo: Arrival in Cairo and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free. Possibility to visit Islamic Cairo, Khan el Khalili market, The Citadel or do a Nile Cruise.
Day 2 – Cairo: Today we visit the Egyptian Museum, with its more than 100,000 relics. Your guide will be with you for two or three hours, after which you are free to roam the museum yourself. The evening is free.
Day 3 – Cairo: Today we visit the Pyramids and the Sphinx at Giza. After lunch we will visit Saqqara and the funerary complex of Djoser. We will also see the Pyramid of Teti. In the evening we will board our first class train to Aswan.



Day 4 – Aswan: Arrival in Aswan in the early morning. Later in the day we will visit the Philae Temple and the High Dam of Aswan. The evening is free.
Day 5 – Abu Simbel: After an early morning bus or flight (optional) we will visit the majestic Abu Simbel, built by Ramses II and the Temple of Hathor. We then return to Aswan in the early afternoon. We can spend the afternoon wandering the markets or visiting the Nubian Museum.

Day 6 – Aswan: This morning, we will board our local felucca to visit Kitchener and Elephantine Islands. In the afternoon we will begin our two night cruise down the Nile on board the felucca (or Nile cruiser – optional). We spend the afternoon lying in the sun before the chef prepares dinner.
Day 7 – Felucca: The day is free to lie in the sun. We will spend the night near the sight of Kom Ombo, on board the felucca.
Day 8 – Felucca: Early morning visit to Kom Ombo, the dual temple of Sobek and Haroeris. We then visit Edfu to see the Temple of Horus. After that, we travel to Luxor. In the afternoon we will visit the East Bank and see Luxor Temple built by Amenhotep III and Karnak Temple.



Day 9 – Luxor: Today we visit the West Bank, Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. We may also visit the tomb of Tutankhamum (optional). We can also visit the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Hatshepsut. In the evening we take the overnight bus to Sharm el Sheikh.

Day 10 – Arrive in Sharm el Sheikh in the morning. We spend the afternoon at one of Sharm’s beautiful beaches or check out the malls and do some shopping. In the evening there’s time to visit a casino.
Day 11 – Sharm el Sheikh: Today we will visit beautiful Ras Mohamed National Park. The park is about 20km from Sharm and is teeming with coral walls and fish. We spend the day snorkeling and relaxing in the sun then drive to Dahab to check in your hotel in Dahab.
Day 12 – Dahab: free day to relax and have an afternoon nap to prepare for our trip to Mount Sinai. We will leave the hotel at 10 in the evening, climb 2285 meters to the summit and wait for a magnificent sunrise.​

Day 13 – Dahab: After we’ve seen the sunrise, we climb down the mountain and visit the Monastery of St. Catherine, dedicated to the legendary martyr of Alexandria. We return to Dahab for a well earned rest. The rest of the day is free. In the evening we will transfer to the bus for the overnight journey to the city of Alexandria.

Day 14 – Alexandria: Arrival in Alexandria in the early morning. You will be visiting the catacombs of Kom ash-Shuqqafa, a Roman burial site and then descend below ground to visit the tomb and Caracalla Hall. Back above ground, continue to Pompey’s Pillar and the Roman amphitheater. The site also includes the remains of a Roman street and homes. After lunch you will visit the famous Alexandria Library. In the evening you will return to Cairo, for your last night in Egypt.
Day 15 – Cairo: Transfer to the airport.
